'Taste Of Bitter Love' was a huge smash originally for Gladys Knight & The Pips in 1980. This bonafide disco anthem continues to constantly ignite dancefloors around the world. In 2002 it was covered by D'Influence featuring Romina Johnson, reconstructed by The Dead Rose Music Company in 2011, and remixed and released by Dave Lee in 2016 on Z Records.

'Taste Of Bitter Love' 2022 is a Midnight Riot transatlantic collaboration, with LaRae recording her vocals in Amp Fiddler's Detroit bunker whilst Yam Who? was in his London lab finessing the music production.

Soul diva LaRae Starr whose voice you may already be familiar with from her work alongside Athena Johnson, Teresa Marbury as part of Detroit's Dame Brown. The trio signed to Defected has delivered smash after smash, featuring on Sophie Lloyds 'Calling Out', The Vision's 'Heaven' whilst their debut single ‘What Would You Do?’ is already doing the business. Not forgetting The Dames's stunning work on the 2016 Amp Fiddler album 'Motor City Booty' for Midnight Riot, produced by Yam Who?
