Sonic Soul Orchestra, led by the talented English DJ and producer JP Firmin, makes a triumphant return to Midnight Riot in 2024 with an electrifying new release, once again showcasing the incredible vocals of Kathy Brown. This time, they present a stunning reinterpretation of the 1979 smash hit by the French/Martinique group, The Gibson Brothers, titled "Ooh What A Life". Originally penned by the esteemed French songwriter and producer, Daniel Bangalter, in 1947, who happens to be the father of Thomas Bangalter from the iconic duo Daft Punk.

The SSO's rendition is strictly for disco-house heads, coming ready to ignite contemporary dance floors and spread infectious joy. "Ooh What A Life" holds a special place in JP's heart as one of his favourite tracks by The Gibson Brothers, but he always envisioned a female vocal version. Collaborating with Kathy on this project fulfilled that vision. Masterfully mixed by Rikky Morrison and enhanced by the talents of top-tier session musicians from Los Angeles, there is a second release scheduled also including remixes from label head Yam Who? and a heavy boogie mix from Glitterbox artists Qwestlife, set to drop in March.
