Phil Jaimes has long been a member of the extended Midnight Riot family, having first contributed a track to one of the label's must-have compilations way back in 2015. Yam Who's EP-opening "Extended Club Mix" is superb though. Featuring a superb lead vocal by Amma, it's a breezy chunk of revivalist disco-boogie/nu-disco fusion rich in ear-catching piano riffs, sequelchy synth bass and tons of colourful synthesizer sounds. The Midnight Riot boss also offers up a delay-laden, music-free "Acapella Mix" for DJs who like to get busy in the mix, while the "Dillons 15th Mix" re-imagines the track as a slab of classic vocal deep house.
