Midnight Riot have decided to pay tribute to one of the most talked-about styles of 2018, Italo-disco, with an expansive compilation featuring a mixture of original material and sneaky re-edits. Chief among the many highlights is Yam Who and Rebecca Scales' superb new cover version of B.B Band's 1982 classic "All Night Long", which adds a little contemporary polish (and more fluid piano flourishes) to the original's sexually-charged, arpeggio-driven thrust. The hits don't stop there, though. In Flagranti delivers a prize slab of mind-altering muscular chug, Italo Vera reaches for the heavens on the kaleidoscopic throb-job "Bangkok", Hypnotic Lovers explore the synth-funk end of the Italo-disco spectrum on "Sticky" and Dominic Dawson takes our collective breath away via the all-action pump of "Music of the Future".
